what happened to our folly?!

In case you have been busy working in the workshop and totally have no idea what is happening our folly, let me tell you what happened.

On Tuesday, Pei, Owen, Billy, Sue and I were on site to set up the timber profiles on the 4 sides of the container for shrink wrapping. Pei and I went back in the evening and worked under the rain to add more timbers at the bottom part.

31 August, yesterday, we were told that it's too risky to wrap the container. So we decided to wrap the top part only. The ShrinkMaster guys used about 6 hours to wrap the folly. Yeay, our folly is 90% done!





1 Sep, this morning, they spent another half an hour to an hour to touch up and tidy up. But they don't seem not very happy with the result. They suggested to me that they can re-do the whole thing if I'm not happy with the outcome. Honestly, I have not enough guts to make this hardcore decision and ask them to re-do the whole thing. But after discussing with Uwe, we decided to rip the whole thing off and re-do it.









The "dramatic" moment when they ripped the shrink wrap. It's like what happened yesterday, but rewinded. But this time they took less than 6 minutes.




Timber caps that they thought 'it's perfect' didn't work at last.




They've set up the timber profiles in the way they think it works; I've bought heaps of salad bowls to replace the timber caps; and hope for the best for tomorrow. And I guess what the story all about, is, learn from mistakes! :)
